About This Project
The TI Community Centre provides a place for essential community services to collaborate, co-ordinate and pool service delivery resources for greater efficiency in the region. The facility includes counselling rooms, a resource centre, multi-purpose space and service provider tenancies to provide direct access to multiple services in a single location.
The building is an inviting Tropical design, connected to the colours of the Torres Strait, with spaces that the community can adapt and contribute to in their own way. The centre will enable a more holistic approach to the provision of services and provide the community with a place they can come together and belong.
Due to the remote location, achieving a cost-effective and efficient design without compromising on best practice standards was paramount.
